The First Nova Wedding

The Big Day Has Finally Arrived!

It was a gorgeous and sunny Saturday morning.  And today was Destiny and Rhys' big day!

Destiny got herself washed and changed into something comfy.  Her dress and shoes were packed away, ready for her to get to the church and change.

She was extreamly excited!

She knew Rhys would probably already be at the church, waiting.  So she needed to sneak in and get into the woman's changing room very quick!

She never thought this day would come!

The room was layed out nicely, with some chocies for her to munch on while she waited.  But Destiny did not want to eat chocolate.  She had worked hard to fit in her dress.

She didn't want to wear a formal gown.  The pair were abit too "cool" for a formal affair.  But knew that they wanted to dress up nice.

Destiny had picked a nice white lace party dress with a black bow around the waist.  She also got herself some matching shoes.  Infact she had more trouble picking how she wanted her hair then what sort of dress she wanted!

This was sure to be the happiest day of her life.

The Guests Were Seated
The Ceremony Was Ready To Begin.

The Bride and Groom hold hands.

"These are the hands of my best friend."  Rhys Begins.  "Young, strong and vibrant with love, that are holding mine on my Wedding Day.  I promise to love you, Destiny, all the days of my life."

"These are the hands that will passionately love you through the years, for a lifetime of happiness."  He continues.  "These are the hands that will countless times wipe tears from your eyes:  Tears of sadness and tears of joy.  These are the hands, my love, that will hold you tight as you struggle through hard times."

Destiny begins her vows.

"These are the hands that will hold each child in tender love, soothing them through illness and hurt, supporting and encouraging them along the way, and knowing when it is time to let go."  A tear rolling down her cheek.  "These are the hands that will massage tension from your neck and back on days you have had a hard long day."

"These are the hands that will give you support as we encourage each other to chase down our dreams."  She continues.  "Together as a team, everything we wish for can be realized.

They look longingly into each others eyes.  Each so happy, and so proud to be standing here on this day infront of their friends and their family.  Able to share their love for each other, signifying to the world that they were going to spend the rest of their lives together.

"Amen"
They Kiss, Solidifying Their Vows.

The confetti falls, a symbol that the ceremony has reached its end.  They kiss under the paper hearts that scatter delicately around them.

The guests begin to cheer.  So happy to see their daughter, their sister, and their best friends get married on such a beautiful day!

The colored rice is thrown from one and all.  Flying around the place as each and every guest shares in the joy.

Destiny's Father and Sister looks on as they see her marry the love of their life.  both so happy to see progress in her life.  They never thought she would be the one to get married.

The first ever Nova wedding!

"I love you so much Destiny, I meant every word I said, my Wife!"  He says to her with that smile that makes her heart melt.

"And I love you, my wonderful Husband.  I never thought this day would come, but finally it is here."

The church was filled with a heart warming atmosphere.  Rhys and Destiny both could feel it.  The smiles were big and bright, especially from Destiny's Father, Spencer.  He was the proudest father in the whole of Lunar Lakes at this point in time.  If only Cosmina was alive to see this moment.

May I Present,
Mr & Mrs Nova!

After the Ceremony, it was tie for some photos of the happy couple!

The guests came outside with them, to meet by a nice little wooded area, perfect for some shots of the couple.

Still throwing their multi-colored rice, they were over joyed.

Its not often a wedding takes place in these parts, so being invited to one was a wonderful experience.

Even if the wedding was between a human and a Half-Alien-Half-Genie.

Destiny and Rhys posed for a few snapshots.

Some were lovely and elegant.

Others were crazy and silly, just like them.

They didn't want their wedding to be too much of a serious affair.  They wanted to have fun, and their guests to have fun.

But most of all, Destiny wanted to show her Dad how grown up she had become, and that she was ready to take on her responsibility of carrying on the family name.

She needed to do this, for him.

She only wishes she could of done this when her Mum was alive.

Cake Time!
This Was What Many Of The Guests Were Waiting For.

They retreated to the outdoor entertainment area.

A dancefloor, music, bar, buffet table.  everything they needed was their to have a smashing time!

Well, so long as nothing actually gets smashed.  They really don;t need to be handed a bill for that!

Rhys called the guests over as Destiny got ready for the cake cutting.

She had got the cake made for her by the workers at the Coffee House.  It seemed strange, but as Lunar Lakes did not have a bakery she did not have much of a choice.

Not that anyone minded.  Flying V's made the best coffee and cake in Town!  It was the number 1 plac to go for an afternoon snack with friends.

Or a first date in Destiny and Rhys' case.

It was a yummy strawberry flavour sponge cake.  Layered with cream, and topped with some lovely lemon icing.

It looks superb and the guests liked their lips.  Spencer really wanted to get his hands on some cake, but Bride and Groom first!

Lacy was also super excited for cake!  Lacey loves cake :P

 Everyone was enjoying it.

It was light, creamy, and oh so so yummerific!

While Destiny chowed down on her slice of wedding cake, Rhys took the opportunity to have a word with Spencer.

"Hello.  Son In-Law."

"Hey Spencer.  I uh ... I hope you don;t mind that Destiny and I decided to get married.  I know I should of asked you for her hand, but..."

Rhys as cut off and wasn't even able to finish his sentence.

"Of course, I would of liked to of been told of your intentions toward my Daughter.  But all that matters is she is happy.  And I see that she is.  That makes me very happy."

Rhys breaths a sigh of relief.

"Oh I am so glad, i thought you would be made or something!"

"Not at all, Son.  Just you make sure that you keep my daughter happy!"

As the men chatted, Destiny pondered her future.  No one knew of her career.  Not even Rhys.  She had told him she works at the book store ... She thought that he would think less of her if he knew what she really did.

Rhys and Destiny Also Got To Speak With Desire.
She Was So Happy For Her Sister.  Although She Thought She Would Be First.

As the sun began to set it was party time!

Some of the girls kicked off their shoes, ready to dance the night away.

But not Destiny.  She had payed too much for these shoes to just kick them to a corner, she was going to wear them all night long!

More and more guests began to get into the spirit, as some of the older ones began to leave for home.

But that was fine.  leave the young guns to party!

By the looks of things, it probably wouldn't be long until Rhys and Destiny's party days will be over!

The strobes were going like crazy!  And lazers, everywhere!

Fun, fun, fun!

Destiny danced her worries away.  She wasn't really concerned about telling the truth of what she does for a living.

She had booked the week of so she could have her wedding in peace, and have a nice honeymoon.  She would deal with this later.

She danced her way into the new morning, the first official day with her new Husband!

As 2Am Approached They Knew
That It Was Time To Go Home.

They had the perfect wedding, the perfect party, and the perfect day.
Now to roll on the perfect honeymoon!

Congrats Mr and Mrs Nova!!!
